NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois dropped its second straight Ohio Valley Conference game last Saturday falling at UT Martin 27-10.  The Panthers need one win in their last two games to secure a third consecutive winning season.  EIU was 7-4 in the 2015 regular season advancing to the school's 16th FCS playoff.  Last season EIU beat EKU, 24-0, in the final game to finish at 6-5.  The last time EIU had three straight winning seasons was 2005-07.

• Eastern Illinois had five turnovers in Saturday's loss to UT Martin.  It was the highest number of turnovers in a game this season for the Panthers.  The last time EIU turned the ball over five or more times in a game was last season against UT Martin when the Panthers turned the ball over seven times during a 33-17 home loss.

• Eastern Illinois will recognize the 21 members of its 2017 football senior class prior to the start of the game with Eastern Kentucky.  The Panthers have eight players that have played their entire collegiate careers at Eastern Illinois - #6 Tray Mitchell, #7 Bradley Dewberry, #28 Vincent Speller, #54 AJ Hantak, #67 Austin Askin, #69 Cody Edwards, #70 Louis Vailopa and #89 Addison Bounds.

Nick Horne enters the final two games of the season needing four tackles for loss to move into a tie for ninth on the EIU career tackles for loss list with Kamu Grugier-Hill and Mike Carlin.  Horne has a team high 8.5 tackles for loss this season and 28 tackles for loss for his career.

THE SERIES
• Eastern Illinois and Eastern Kentucky will be meeting for the 25th time on Saturday afternoon with the Colonels holding a 13-11 all-time series lead.  EIU has won the last two games in the series beating EKU 21-7 in 2015 to lock up an FCS playoff bid and then winning 24-0 last year in Richmond to close out the regular season at 6-5 overall.  EKU's last win in Charleston was in 2011, a 48-16 win over the Panthers which gave the Colonels a five game win streak in the series at that time.  EIU has won four of the last five games.
