NOTES TO KNOW
• Eastern Illinois beat Eastern Kentucky on Senior Day on a Bradley Dewberry interception on the Colonels first offensive possession after EIU had kicked a field goal.  The win secured a winning record for the Panthers marking the third straight season EIU will finish over .500.  The last time EIU had three straight winning seasons was 2005-07.

Bradley Dewberry picked off an Eastern Kentucky pass in overtime to secure the EIU 23-20 win.  It was the second interception of the game for Dewberry who now has eight career interceptions.  The last time an EIU player had two or more interceptions in a game was Nov. 21, 2015 when Dewberry and Jourdan Wickliffe both picked off two passes in a 21-7 win over Eastern Kentucky.

• Eastern Illinois football is 4-1 when coming off a bye-week since the 2012 season.  The Panthers one loss was an overtime road setback at Eastern Kentucky in 2014.  Last season EIU had a bye in the second to last week of the year and entered the final road game with a 5-5 record.  The Panthers picked up a 24-0 shutout at Eastern Kentucky to finish at 6-5 and post the first shutout for EIU since September 19, 2009 at Indiana State (W, 31-0).

• Eastern Illinois will have 21 seniors playing their final regular season game on Saturday when the Panthers play at Austin Peay.  That group has posted a 21-10 record in OVC play.

THE SERIES
• Eastern Illinois and Austin Peay will be meeting for the 18th time with this being the most important match-up in series history.  Both schools will be playing for second place in the OVC regular season standings and a possible at-large FCS playoff berth.  EIU leads the all-time series 14-3 including eight straight wins.  Austin Peay's last win was Nov. 15, 2008, a 15-13 win at O'Brien Field.  The other two wins by APSU came in the 1950's.  EIU is 14-1 in the series played at the Division I level.
