• Eastern Illinois baseball will play a pair of non-conference outings to open up the week. The Panthers will travel to Butler on Tuesday prior to hosting Lindenwood-Belleville on Wednesday at Coaches Stadium. Lindenwood-Belleville will play two games against Crowleys Ridge College on Tuesday before making the trip to Charleston.

• Matt Albert blasted a solo home run in the series finale at Belmont on Saturday. Albert now has 12 home runs this season and is just two shy of cracking the top-10 list for single-season home runs in EIU history. He  currently ranks seventh in the OVC in slugging percentage (.661) and fourth in home runs (12) this season.

• Michael McCormick picked up his first win of the season as he dominated the Belmont offense in the series finale on Saturday. McCormick scattered five hits in five scoreless innings while striking out a pair of Bruins.

• Joseph Duncan swiped two bags during the series at Belmont and now has 11 stolen bases on the season and 37 for his career. The 37 career stolen bases puts him in a tie for eighth all-time with Doug Craig (1974-77) in program history. He enters the week tied for first in the OVC with the 11 stolen bases this season.

• Frankie Perrone had a solid series for the Panthers against the Bruins. Perrone batted a team-high .556 (5-for-9) over the weekend with three doubles, two RBIs and one run scored. He added three walks for an on-base percentage of .667. Perrone finished the series with a 4-for-5 day at the plate with a pair of doubles on Saturday.

• Alex Cain will get the ball to start on Tuesday at Bulter. Cain will be making his 12th appearance and third start of the season. At this time, Eastern Illinois has not announced a starter for Wednesday's game against Lindenwood-Belleville.

• Following their pair of midweek non-conference contests, Eastern Illinois baseball will host Eastern Kentucky in a three-game Ohio Valley Conference series this weekend at Coaches Stadium.

• Eastern Illinois is playing its 111th season of intercollegiate baseball. EIU has an all-time record of 1,739 wins and 1,542 losses.  Head Coach Jason Anderson is in his 2nd season as the Panthers skipper after being hired to take on the role in the summer of 2015. Anderson picked up the first win of his coaching career with a 10-8 victory over No. 12 Arkansas in 12 innings on March 5, 2016.
