CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's basketball coach Matt Bollant has added a third player to his recruiting class for next season with the addition of Australian guard / forward Lana Marov.  Bollant was hired in mid-April and has already signed Karle Pace (Clarksville, Tenn.) and Grace McRae (Melbourne, Australia) to next year's roster.

Marov was recruited by several schools prior to choosing to play for Coach Bollant and Eastern Illinois.  She was recruited by St. Bonaventura, Indiana State, Cal Poly and Campbell.

A 5'11" native of Sydney, that can play in both the post and wing, Marov played for the Norths Bears and was a member of the New South Wales Metro Team that played in the U18 Australia National Championships, placing second in 2016.  She connected on 41 percent from 3-point range while averaging 12 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.

"Lana is a highly skilled player that can score in a variety of ways.  She is a great 3-pointer shooter but can also score inside," said Bollant.  "Her trainer Nathan Lovett has done a great job getting her ready to play college basketball."
