JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Eastern Illinois dominated play on Friday evening with 17 shots against Jacksonville State but at the end of 110 minutes the Panthers walked away with a point in the OVC standings and a 0-0 draw.

EIU moved to 5-7-5 on the season and 3-3-3 in the OVC. With a win on Sunday in the final regular season match at Tennessee Tech the Panthers could climb to third or fourth in the OVC standings and host the opening weekend of the tournament. A loss on Sunday could keep the Panthers out of the eight team field based on results of other matches. Jacksonville State, which has already been eliminated from the post-season discussion, is now 3-11-3 overall, 1-7-1 in the OVC.

Five of EIU's 17 shots were on goal as Gamecocks goalkeeper Morgan Lerch made all five saves.

Angela Corcoran both had two shots on goal for the Panthers while
Lexi Ketterhagen added the other.

JSU had just one shot on goal by Rachel Blanding that was stopped by
Sara Teteak as the junior goalkeeper posted her eighth shutout of the season including her sixth in conference action.
