Charleston, Ill. – The Eastern Illinois volleyball team will return to Lantz Arena for the final time in the 2018 season. The Panthers will play against Murray State Friday night and host senior night against Austin Peay on Saturday.
The Panthers head into the weekend with an overall record of 10-19 and 5-5 in the OVC.
Eastern Illinois will honor seniors

PANTHERS RANKED IN THE TOP 10
The Eastern Illinois volleyball team has four members –
Laurel Bailey,
Abby Knight,
Maggie Runge, and
Anne Hughes – currently ranked in the top 10 in the Ohio Valley Conference in multiple categories.
Hughes currently ranks second in the OVC in digs with 539 and a digs-per-set average of 5.13.
Runge holds second in blocks with seven solo blocks and 96 block assists.
Knight holds ninth in hitting percentage with a total of .264.
Bailey currently sits in tenth for kills with 301. Bailey also holds tenth in points with 344.

SCOUTING THE RACERS AND GOVERNORS
EIU will face the likes of Murray State and Austin Peay in a pair of Ohio Valley Conference matches this weekend.
Murray State enters the weekend currently on an 11 game winning streak. The Racers sport a record of 17-9 and 11-3 in conference play.
Rachel Giustino leads the Racers with 386 kills on the season.
Austin Peay heads into the weekend leading the OVC with a record of 23-4 and 12-2 in the OVC.
Cecily Gable leads the Governors with 326 kills on the season.
