CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Eastern Illinois fell to 0-2 in the Ohio Valley Conference as the Panthers lost their second match of the weekend with Tennessee Tech beating the Panthers 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Dodds Tennis Center in Champaign.

The Golden Eagles opened by winning the doubles point picking up a pair of 6-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. The Panthers No. 2 doubles team of
Jared Woodson and
Gage Kingsmith were tied 5-5 in their match which was left unfinished after TTU won the point.

In singles play Tennessee Tech was able to win five of the six points in straight sets.Â
Trent Reiman pushed his match at No. 3 singles to three sets before falling to Marc Mila in a third set tie-break. Mila defeated Reiman 6-1, 7-6, 1-0 (5).

EIU fell to 4-13 overall, 0-2 in the OVC. The Panthers return to action next Friday playing at Eastern Kentucky.

TTU improved to 3-10, 1-0 in the OVC.
