MILWAUKEE – Eastern Illinois women's soccer was shut out for the second time this season as the Panthers lost on Friday evening at Milwaukee, 3-0.
EIU is now 0-1-1 on the season and will play at Green Bay on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Milwaukee improved to 2-0 on the season.
Milwaukee was able to get on the board midway through the opening half as Erin Corrigan knocked home a free kick from 30-yards out sending the ball into the upper right corner past EIU goalkeeper
Sara Teteak in the 26th minute. Teteak would finish the match with eight saves with seven coming in the first half as Milwaukee held a 1-0 advantage.
McKaela Schmelzer gave Milwaukee some breathing room in the opening minutes of the second as she hit home a one-timer off a pass from Lourdes Onwuemeka in the 48th minute. Haley Johnson was also credited with an assist on the goal.
Chandler McDaniel added the final goal for Milwaukee in the 65th minute with assists going to Johnson and Rachel Phillpotts.
EIU had five shots during the match but failed to register a shot on goal.
Kate Olson had two of the five shots for EIU while

Lindsey Carlson were credited with the other shot attempts.
