DEALING WITH THE ACES: The Panthers are back on the road Tuesday to face the Evansville Purple Aces. Eastern is coming off of a dominant 80-45 win vs. the Flames of UIC. The Aces are coming off of a 85-74 loss to SIUE, dropping their overall record to 1-2 on the season. The Panthers are currently sitting at 2-2 on the season and look to continue to improve with a victory over Evansville.
THE GAME PLAN: Eastern is coming off a strong victory in which
Abby Wahl and
Lariah Washington led the team in scoring with 17 points a piece. Washington netted a double-double, the first of her career, with 12 board in addition to her career-high in points. The Panthers bench played plenty of time against the Aces and did a good job moving the ball around the perimeter. Eastern will look to do more of the same against Evansville.
SCOUTING THE ACES: Evansville freshman guard/forward, Abby Feit, is currently averaging 17.3 points and 10 rebounds per-game and could be a problem for the Panthers. The other leading scorers for the Aces are A'Naih Griffin and Jada Poland. Griffin is averaging 16 points and two rebounds in one game played for the Aces. Jada Poland is averaging 10.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in her three games played. Evansville is another team with some big post players that the Panthers will need to keep of the boards in order to be successful.
UP NEXT: The Panthers will take the rest of the week off to rest after Tuesday's game. Next up for the team, they will be traveling to Madison, Wisconsin to take on the Badgers on Nov. 26. Â
