INDIANAPOLIS – Eastern Illinois men's tennis opened up its two match weekend on Friday evening dropping a neutral site match to Dayton, 4-0.

EIU fell to 6-7 on the season and will play at Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon.  Dayton improved to 5-4 on the year.

The Flyers won two of the three matches in doubles play to capture the first point of the match.  EIU did win at number three doubles with Freddie O'Brien and Logan Charbonneau picking up a 6-0 decision.

Dayton then captured the match winning three points in singles play leaving three matches unfinished after the Flyers reached the deciding point.

Dayton won singles matches at number three, four and five singles.

O'Brien playing at number one singles and Mike Jansen playing at number two singles were in the second set of their matches when play stopped.  Charbonneau had advanced to a third set against Jayman Jhaffu at number six singles.  Charbonneau was leading 2-0 in the third set when play was halted.  Both players had already taken a set 6-2 in their favor.
