CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Eastern Illinois men's tennis team lost an Ohio Valley Conference match on Friday to Austin Peay.  Due to heavy winds in the area, the match was played indoors at the Dodds Tennis Center in Champaign.

The EIU men lost the match falling 4-0 to the Governors.  EIU drops to 13-14 overall, 1-4 in the OVC.  The Panthers have concluded their regular season and will return to action in two weeks at the OVC Tournament in Nashville.

APSU won the doubles point as all three matches were completed.  Freddie O'Brien and Logan Charbonneau won the first doubles match at the number three position winning 6-3.  APSU then won the point winning at number two and number one.  In the number one doubles match, Gertjan De Wilder and Mike Jansen battled before falling 7-6.

In singles play APSU won singles matches at number two, number four and number five.  O'Brien had his match at number one singles left unfinished tied at 6-6 in the first set against Almantas Ozelis.

Daniel Hernandez and Charbonneau were both leading 5-2 in the second set in their matches at number three and number six singles when APSU clinched the match.  Both players were trailing in their respective matches after each dropping the opening set to their opponent.
