The Ohio Valley Conference kicked off their conference tournament on Tuesday evening. #7 Eastern Illinois took on #8 UT Martin in the play-in game to open up the conference tournament.  UT Martin was able to score late in the pitchers duel to advance to the double-elimination round defeating EIU 2-1.
 
UT Martin got on the board first in the top of the first inning when Casey Harford hit a one-run triple to left center.
 
Trey Sweeney tied the game for the Panthers in the bottom of the fourth inning with a one-run single to left field.
 
UT Martin would take the lead in the top of the eighth inning on a Jordan Stoner one-run single through the right side.
 
Michael YaSenka got the start on the hill for the Panthers in the play-in game. YaSenka tossed six innings with five strikeouts and allowed one run.
 
Austen Bullington got the start on the mound for UT Martin. Bullington lasted six innings, recording one strikeout, and one run.
 
Nick Wohlbold earned the save on the mound for UT Martin. Wohlbold earned his 13th save of the season after tossing 0.2 innings.
