GAME NOTES

THE HOT STREAK STARTS HERE: The Panthers are ready to take on Eastern Kentucky for the first game of the three-game home stint. The Panthers are coming off of a big win against the Governors of Austin Peay. In that game, Morgan Litwiller scored a career-high 18 points and made four three-pointers. Karle Pace led the team in scoring with 19 points which came from a game high five three-pointers made. EKU is on a four game losing streak with the most recent loss coming from SEMO. The Panthers next few games are favorable match ups, so EIU will want to start off strong and carry the momentum into the following games.

THE GAME PLAN: Eastern Illinois will want to do exactly what they did on the road in the game earlier this season. The Panthers started out extremely strong in the first game, scoring 27 points in the first quarter. Litwiller scored her then career-high against EKU and will want to stay hot after coming off her big game last Saturday. The Panthers will want to stay calm and stay in front of EKU on defense as the Colonels are fast and can score in transition.

SCOUTING THE COLONELS: Eastern Kentucky is back for more; this time at Lantz Arena. In the last two meetings, EIU has dominated EKU, winning both match ups by 20 points. The Colonels are likely going to push the tempo and make EIU run the same way they did a month ago. The Panthers will need to keep their composure and not get overly excited as EKU did mount a comeback late. Teri Goodlet had become the leading scorer in OVC play for the Colonels and will look for easy buckets usuing her speed. I'Liyah Green is still one of the better players on EKU and does just about everything head coach Samantha Williams has asked of her this season. Green is averaging 9 points and eight rebounds in conference play so far, and has been named the OVC Newcomer of the Week twice this season.

UP NEXT: Panthers will take on Morehead State on Saturday at 1 pm. In their last game, the Panthers won 57-51 from the late game heroics from Pace.
