2020 OVC Preseason Team 

Two Eastern Illinois players were honored on Monday as they Ohio Valley Conference released its 2020 preseason All-OVC football team.  Isaiah Hill and Dytarious Johnson were both honored as preseason All-OVC selections.
 
Hill was named to the preseason team at the wide receiver position.  Last season Hill was named to the OVC All-Newcomer Team as he led the Panthers in receptions (57), receiving yards (569) and touchdown receptions (4).  Hill ranked 31st in the FCS in receptions per game.  During the season he caught 15 passes at UT Martin which tied for fourth most in a single game in EIU school history.  Hill also served as the Panthers primary kick returner averaging 18.8 yards per return and punt returner.
 
Johnson was named to the preseason team at the linebacker position.  Last season Johnson was named a second team All-OVC performer after leading the Panthers with 67 tackles.  He added a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks.   Johnson was responsible for four forced fumbles with one resulting in a defensive touchdown while recovering two fumbles and picking off one pass.  Johnson ended the season ranked seventh on the EIU career tackles for loss list.
 
EIU is slated to open the 2020 season on Thursday, Sept. 3 hosting Indiana State.
