Fall 2021 GPA
CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois student-athletes once again excelled in the classroom as the Panthers Athletic Department posted a 3.29 grade point average for the 2021 fall semester.

The EIU women's cross country team posted the department's highest team GPA at 3.77 followed by women's basketball at 3.72. The EIU men's tennis program was the highest men's team with a GPA of 3.59 as six programs finished with a 3.5 or higher team average.

EIU had a total of 109 student-athletes finish with a 4.0 GPA to represent 23 percent of the Panthers athletic department.  A total of 69 percent of the Panthers student-athletes posted a 3.0 or higher mark for the term.

Additional EIU teams with a 3.5 or higher team GPA for the fall semester included: women's tennis (3.68), women's golf (3.65) and men's soccer (3.51).

The success this semester continues the recent success EIU student-athletes have had with the department posting its highest department GPA in school history last academic year while dealing with many COVID-19 issues. Â
