Eastern Illinois mourns the loss of Athletic Hall of Fame member Edward "Mac" Corley who passed away this week.
Corley was selected to the EIU Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009 as a supporter of Panther Athletics through his involvement with raising funds for the EIU Panther Club as well as volunteer activities with several EIU Athletic events.
Corley, a retired Eastern Illinois professor, worked for many years at both Eastern Illinois and the IHSA State Track meets.
In 2006 he was presented with the EIU Glen Hesler Award, which is the most prestigious honor that the athletic department bestows upon an individual each year.
