Eastern Illinois wraps up its two-game homestand on Saturday afternoon hosting Tennessee State as the Panthers finalize a two-week stretch of games every Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday. The Panthers had snapped a seven-game losing streak with a road win on Tuesday at SIUE before falling on Thursday to OVC leader Belmont. EIU is now 6-14 overall, 3-10 in the OVC. Tennessee State enters on a small losing streak of its own having dropped their last three games to stand at 3-13 overall, 2-11 in the OVC. TSU's last win was Jan. 23 over Eastern Illinois.
DIARRA BIG ON THE BOARDS VS BELMONT
Madani Diarra made his second straight start for Eastern Illinois on Thursday night against Belmont and provided some big play under the basket for the Panthers. Diarra led all players with 11 rebounds in the game clearing nine on the defensive glass. He added six points, two blocks and a steal during a season-high 28 minutes on the floor. In two starts, Diarra has scored ten points with 14 rebounds. He has increased the level of his play late in the season averaging 6.4 points per game over the last six games while shooting 62 percent from the floor. He has averaged 6.1 rebounds per game over the last nine games.
ALLERUZZO POSTS SECOND DOUBLE FIGURE GAME THIS SEASON

Barlow Alleruzzo IV came off the bench on Thursday night against Belmont after five straight starts. Alleruzzo responded for the Panthers posting his second double figure scoring night of the year with 11 points. He knocked down 3-of-5 from 3-point range and has now hit four of his last seven 3-pointers over two games. Earlier this year Alleruzzo had a season-high 13 points against Austin Peay, also knocking down three 3-pointers in the game. During his five starts, Alleruzzo averaged 4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
