Eastern Illinois football has released the dates for the its 2021 home contests to include Family Weekend, Hall of Fame and Homecoming for the upcoming fall season.
The revamped Ohio Valley Conference schedule was released earlier this spring with specific dates those special games still to be announced.
The EIU home season will kickoff on Sept. 18 as EIU hosts Illinois State in the Mid-America Classic. The annual contest with the Redbirds will be this year's Family Weekend Game
EIU will then host a pair of OVC home games in back-to-back weeks on Oct. 16 and Oct. 23.
The Oct. 16 game against UT Martin will serve as this year's Athletic Hall of Fame weekend with EIU inducting classes for both 2020 and 2021 that weekend.
The Oct. 23 game against Tennessee State will be this year's Homecoming game.
The final home game for the 2021 season will be on Nov. 20 against Murray State.
Season ticket renewals and sales for the 2021 season will begin in early May with single game tickets on sale on August 1.
EIU will open the 2021 season with a Week Zero game at Indiana State on August 28. The Panthers will then play road games at South Carolina and Dayton before returning home to host Illinois State.
