2021 EIU Volleyball Schedule

Sara Thomas has announced the Panthers schedule for the upcoming season which will feature the return of the EIU Panther Invitational to begin the year.
The Panthers will host a total of 14 home matches at First Mid Court at Lantz Arena opening with the EIU Panther Invitational presented by Unique Suites on Aug. 27-28. The four-team event will feature matches against IUPUI, Bellarmine and Chicago State.
EIU will play in one other in-season tournament when they travel to Southern Illinois for the Saluki Tournament on Sept. 10-11. That event will include matches against host SIU, Alabama State and USC Upstate.
The Panthers two other non-conference weekends will consist of home-and-home matches against Northern Illinois and Indiana State. EIU will host NIU on Sept. 2 before traveling to DeKalb on Sept. 4. The series with the Sycamores will open on Sept. 17 at Indiana State before a home match in Charleston on Sept. 19.
The OVC schedule for this upcoming season will feature a pair of matches against all OVC opponents with four road weekends and four home weekends. Each school will play the same opponent on both Friday and Saturday in weekend OVC play. In addition each school will play its travel partner in a midweek home-and-home series during the season.
EIU will host weekend matches with Southeast Missouri (Oct. 8-9), Morehead State (Oct. 22-23), Tennessee State (Oct. 29-30) and Austin Peay (Nov. 12-13). EIU's home-and-home dates with SIUE are in Charleston on Oct. 5 and on the road on Oct. 19.
The Panthers four road OVC weekend series will be at Murray State, UT Martin, Belmont and Tennessee Tech.
The OVC Tournament will be hosted on campus sites starting Nov. 18.
