CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois women's tennis won its second consecutive match as the Panthers had a clean sweep during a 7-0 win on Saturday afternoon against DePauw University.

Due to cold weather conditions the match was playing indoors at the Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.

EIU won all three doubles matches with
Addison Brown and
Christine Gouws winning 6-1 at No. 1 doubles to clinch the doubles point for the Panthers.Â
Rachel Papavasilopoulos and
Brittany Steven won at No. 2 doubles, 6-0, to get EIU started.

In singles play EIU would win all six matches in two sets. Papavasilopoulos,
Elizaveta Bukraba-Ulanova and Gouws won in the top three spots in the order to clinch the match for EIU.

Brown would add the Panthers fifth point with a win at No. 4 singles before Steven and
Lauren Ellis posted the final two wins of the day for the Panthers. Ellis had the final win of the match winning at No. 6 singles 6-0, 6-3.

EIU improved to 2-11 on the season and will play next weekend with road matches at Southern Indiana (a future OVC member) and Western Kentucky.

DePauw fell to 2-8 on the season.Â
