Former Eastern Illinois punter Logen Neidhardt will be one of a handful of players to make history as players in the inaugural Major League Football which will debut in August.   Neidhardt has signed with the Ohio Force based in Canton, Ohio; which is one of four teams that will play during this first season of action.

Neidhardt was a graduate transfer punting for the Panthers this past season.  He ranked second in the Ohio Valley Conference averaging 41.5 yards per punt.  He had a long punt of 72 yards at Dayton with a total of 15 punts over 50 yards and four punts over 60 yards.  He had 19 punts inside the opponents 20-yard line and 20 punts resulting in a fair catch.   During the season Neidhardt had back-to-back weeks with a punting average of 52 yards per punt.  Following the season he was named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society.

Neidhardt began his career playing at Ohio Dominican University where he was named an honorable mention All-American in 2019 while earning Great Midwest Conference Special Teams Player of the Year.  The head coach for the Ohio Force franchise will be former Ohio Dominican head coach Bill Conley.

The Ohio Force will be one of four teams during the opening season of Major League Football (MLFB) joining the Virginia Armada, Alabama Airborne and Arkansas Attack.   The inaugural season is slated to kickoff on August 9 with Ohio playing at Alabama.   Games will take place in the month of August with each team scheduled to play four regular season games and the league championship on Sept. 6.
