Women's Soccer Records Program Record 4th Straight Shutout

Daniela Bermeo solid in net with eight saves in 0-0 draw

CHICAGO – Make it a program record four straight shutouts to open the season as goalkeeper Daniela Bermeo turned away eight shots on Sunday afternoon as Eastern Illinois women's soccer played to a 0-0 draw at UIC.
 
EIU is now 1-0-3 on the season with the four straight shutouts a program record.  UIC is now 0-2-1 on the year as the programs were meeting for the first time on the pitch.
 
EIU had three shots on goal in the match with Jenna Little picking up two and Cam Korhorn registering the other. 
 
Bermeo made eight saves in net which proved to be even more impressive as the Panthers played a player-down for the final four minutes after a red card was issued to EIU in the 86th minute.
 
UIC was credited with 18 total shots with Kaitlyn Montague leading the Flames attack with two shots on goal.
 
Karima Rangel had the Panthers other credited shot in the match.
