EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Eastern Illinois men's soccer team fell 4-1 to SIUE during its last regular season game this afternoon. The Panthers will head the Ohio Valley Conference tournament with a 3-5-2 conference record and 4-9-4 overall.
SIUE started the match taking advantage of the home field to keep most of its action in the Panthers defensive third. Around the ten minute mark, the Cougars came close to a goal by firing a shot that hit the left post. In the 35th minute, Pavel Dashin put SIUE up on the scoreboard for a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, sophomore
Maxwell Skinner scored his first goal wearing the EIU jersey, but the Panthers could not stop the Cougars from finding another three goals to finish the match with the 4-1 lead.

Whelan Joseph ended the match with 12 saves in net for the Panthers.
