Eastern Illinois remains in-state for its fourth straight game as the Panthers will travel to Illinois State on Wednesday night. EIU has played three of its four games on the road to open the year with contests at Illinois and Loyola-Chicago sandwiched around its home opener. EIU is 1-2 on the season. The Panthers remain on the road this upcoming weekend playing at the Miami (Ohio) MTE. Illinois State is 1-1 on the year following a home win and road loss at Saint Louis.
BOOKER SCORES AND STEALS FOR THE PANTHERS
Transfer guard Jordan "Tiger" Booker was in double figures for the second straight game on Saturday with 12 points in the road loss at Loyola-Chicago. Booker just missed double figures in the season opener at No. 25 Illinois before scoring ten points in the home win over Monmouth. He is second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game. Booker has also paced the Panthers defense with an OVC leading nine steals this year which currently ranks seventh in the NCAA. He has four steals in each of the last two games.
HAMLIN SCORES 11 IN THE WINDY CITY

Jermaine Hamlin was one of two EIU players in double figures on Saturday at Loyola-Chicago scoring 11 points. Hamlin was 4-of-5 from the floor while going 3-of-4 from the foul line. He is shooting 58.3 percent for the season from the field. It was the eighth career double figure scoring game for Hamlin and his first since December 2021 when he scored 14 points against Western Illinois. Hamlin added six rebounds and has ten of his 15 rebounds this year on the offensive glass.
