2023 Walter Camp All-America Team
Eastern Illinois defensive back
Russell Dandy was named a Walter Camp FCS All-American on Friday (Dec. 29) as the national team was released.
Dandy becomes the 10th EIU player named to the Walter Camp All-America Team.
Dandy led the FCS in passes defended during the regular season with 19 which included one interception and a school single season record 18 pass break-ups. Dandy added 34 tackles (30 solo) and two fumble recoveries as part of his season totals.
EIU ranked second in the FCS in turnovers gained for the season as they ended the year 8-3 overall and ranked No. 24 in the FCS Coaches Top 25 poll.Â
