SAINT CHARLES, Mo. - Eastern Illinois beach volleyball (2-6, 1-5 OVC) dropped their dual match at Lindenwood (8-8, 2-4 OVC) by a final score of 3-2. EIU and Lindenwood split their dual matches this season.

Ella Collins and Emily Wilcox got the Panthers their first point of the afternoon during the number four pairing in two sets. The pair defeated Rachel Mitts and Bailey Dugan from Lindenwood with set scores of 21-19 and 21-13. They have now won back-to-back matches at the No. 4 spot.

Christina Martinez Mundo and Tori Mohesky also picked up a dual win at the number two pairing against Myah Hough and Amber Schade with set scores of 21-5 and 21-11. They also won their dual vs. Lindenwood during the first meeting.

The Panthers almost pulled out the win with the number three pairing of Lilli Amettis and Giovanna Larregui Lopez but the fell in a close three sets against Elise Lorens and Kaille McGee. The final scores were 11-21, 21-14 and 12-15.

Eastern Illinois will be back in action next weekend for the final Ohio Valley Conference Weekend of the season hosted at Morehead State. The Panthers will open up on Friday vs. the home team Morehead State at 11:00 a.m. CT. For more updates go to eiupanthers.com.
