CHARLESTON, Ill. – Jaylen Prichard's big day at the plate ended by driving in the game winning run for Eastern Illinois in the bottom of the sixth as the Panthers edged IUPUI 4-3 in a midweek non-conference game at Williams Field.

EIU won its tenth straight improving to 30-15 while Prichard extended her hitting streak to 18 games going 3-for-3 at plate with a walk.

With the game tied at 3-3 in the sixth Aryn Henke reached with a two-out single up the middle.   She stole second to be in scoring position for Prichard at the top of the order.  Prichard singled to left scoring Henke.  IUPUI would cut the throw to the plate and get Prichard out in a run down to close the inning after Henke scored.

Olivia Price came in to pitch a 1-2-3 seventh inning and collect her second save of the year.  Rachel Kaufman (9-4) worked six innings for the win.  Isabelle Waggner (1-5) took the loss in relief allowing just one run.

EIU opened the game with single runs in the first and second as Jaguars starter Carly Metcalf was able to avoid the big inning for the Panthers.  EIU loaded the bases in the first but could only score on a bases loaded walk by Aniya Holt.  In the second EIU put four runners on base in the inning but only managed to score with an RBI double by Prichard again scoring Henke from second.

IUPUI evened the game in the fourth with two runs.  Jordan Jenkins delivered an RBI single up the middle and Victoria Sivert had a sacrifice fly.

Prichard had her second double of the game in the bottom of the fourth and came home to score on an RBI double by Kendall Grover.  Grover joined Prichard as Panthers with multiple hits in the game going 2-for-3.

IUPUI tied the game once more with two outs in the fifth with a double by Kennedy Cowan to left field followed by a triple to right by Kendal Calvert as Calvert was the lone Jaguars player with multiple hits going 2-for-3.
