MOREHEAD, Ky. –
Ryan Ignoffo moved into the Eastern Illinois baseball record books on Saturday afternoon as the Panthers split a Saturday doubleheader at Morehead State. EIU won the opener 10-4 to even the series before dropping the rubber game 9-6.
Ignoffo was 4-for-4 in the second game but his record came on the base paths as he picked up a steal to set the EIU single season stolen base mark.

Eastern Illinois had home runs from
Ja'Lil Akbar,
Lucas DiLuca and
Jared Evans as the Panthers evened the weekend series at Morehead State with a 10-4 win in game two. The rubber game of the series is set for 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoon.
EIU jumped out to an early 3-1 lead scoring two in the first and one in the second.
Cole Gober had an RBI in the first inning while Akbar hit his home run, a solo shot in the second.
After Morehead State tied the game in the fourth on a two-run homer by Colton Becker, EIU scored in the fifth and seventh to go back in front.
The Panthers tacked on four insurance runs in the eighth, a three-run homer by Evans the big shot in the frame.
Tyler Conklin (5-5) picked up the win with
Ryan Ignoffo pitching a four-inning save, his third this season.
Logan Eickhoff,
Grant Lashure and Akbar all had three hits for EIU.
Becker was the only Morehead State player with multiple hits going 2-for-3.

Ryan Ignoffo was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a stolen base to lead the EIU offense but Morehead State scored five runs in the bottom of the first and held on the first series clinching win.
EIU scored in the first on a
Kolten Poorman RBI that scored Ignoffo. The Eagles counted in their half of the first with a pair of RBI doubles and a pair of RBI singles. Nick Gooden had one of the RBI doubles for Morehead State as he was 2-for-4 in the game.
The Morehead State lead grew to 6-1 in the fourth with a solo home run by Carter Sakamoto. Poorman had another RBI in the fifth.
EIU scored four runs in the final three innings to make a run.
Cole Gober had a solo home run in the eighth followed by a
Lucas DiLuca sacrifice fly.
Ignoffo closed out his big day at the plate with a solo home run
Lincoln Riley and Gober each added two hits for the Panthers.
Blake Malatestinic (2-5) suffered the loss on the mound.
