Eastern Illinois men's soccer wrapped up exhibition play late on Monday evening battling both the heat and Illinois Springfield.

The match was played in four 20-minute periods to account for the excessive heat and the start time was delayed by one hour.

In the end UIS scored early in the opening period and picked up 4-0 win as EIU had a good number of players rotate through the line-up during the match.

Last Friday EIU played to a 1-1 draw with Bowling Green in its other exhibition contest.

The Panthers did have one goal nullified with an offsides call as the ball found the back of the net in the third period.
