CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Eastern Illinois volleyball team (6-13, 2-7 OVC) fell in their rematch with Tennessee Tech (16-4, 5-3 OVC) by a score of 0-3 on Saturday. The final set scores were 20-25, 16-25, and 18-25.

However, after EIU went ahead 9-4 a little later on, Tech went on a 7-1 run to go in front. After falling behind by three, EIU clawed their way back to recapture a 19-17 advantage, but TTU outscored Eastern 8-1 to close out the set and take the 1-0 lead. The Golden Eagles rode their momentum into set two, taking a commanding lead early on and never loosening their grip as they went up two sets to none in the match. Dahlström continued to front EIU's scoring efforts with five more kills and another block in the set.
The third set was tight early on, but after Eastern knotted the score at six apiece, TTU outpaced EIU the rest of the way for a seven-point set win that secured the match. Matilda Dahlström added four more kills to bring her match total to 12, which was a team high.
