Eastern Illinois had its home Ohio Valley Conference win streak snapped on Sunday afternoon as the Panthers lost a tough 1-0 match to UT Martin in the final regular season home match at Lakeside Field.
 
EIU wraps up the regular season next Sunday at Little Rock before playing in the OVC Tournament the following week.  EIU is now 5-7-5 overall, 3-3-2 in the OVC.
 
UT Martin improved to 4-9-3 overall, 3-5-0 in the OVC.
 
The lone goal of the match came off a free kick as Izzy Patterson found the back of the net in the 35th minute on a shot from just outside the top of the goal box.
 
Both teams played aggressive in the match with UT Martin finishing with 12 total shots, six on goal.  EIU tallied 13 total shots, five on goal.
 
Katiebeth May had two of the five shots on goal for EIU.  Ella Onstott, Alex Tetteh and Brooklynn Greene had the others for EIU.
