ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Eastern Illinois men's soccer team (1-7-1, OVC 0-3) fell 6-0 in their conference matchup against Lindenwood (6-4-1, OVC 2-1) on Sunday evening at Hunter Stadium. The Lions grab game one of the two game series as EIU is set to host LWU at Lakeside Field on Oct. 31.
Lindenwood recorded two first half goals in route to their OVC win over the Panthers. Ethan Blake found the bottom left corner of the net and scored the contests opening goal in the first three minutes of the game  The Lions found success again in the 32' minute, scoring their second goal of the match as Jozef Palushaj extend their lead to 2-0 heading into the break.
LWU continued to control the majority second half as they went on to secure the conference victory.
Sebastion Khoury recorded the only shot on goal on the evening for EIU. The Panthers are set to return home and take on Incarnate Word at Lakeside Field on Thursday, Oct. 12.
