Eastern Illinois opened its weekend trip to Milwaukee on Friday afternoon dropping a 7-0 contest in the first of three weekend matches.

EIU will play the remainder of the weekend at Marquette facing Omaha in a neutral site match on Saturday before facing the host Golden Eagles on Sunday.

Addison Brown and
Jemma Booth won 6-4 playing at No. 1 doubles for EIU before Milwaukee was able to capture the point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, Brown continued to play at No. 1 singles for EIU falling to Babette Burgersdijk in two sets, the second going to a tie-break.  Brown lost 6-1, 7-6 (9-7).Â

Charleigh Fay battled at No. 3 singles for EIU losing in two sets 6-3, 6-4 to Emilia Durska.Â

Milwaukee would clinch the overall match winning its first three singles points at No. 5, No. 2 and No. 6 singles.
