Eastern Illinois scored in each of the first four innings as the Panthers closed out their weekend series with an 11-5 win over UT Martin to sweep the weekend at Williams Field in Charleston.

EIU took advantage of three errors in the opening frame by the Skyhawks to jump out to a 4-0 lead.Â
Karson Davey had the big hit in the inning with a two-run single to left followed by a
Sophie Cerveny RBI double.

The Panthers tacked on two more runs in the second and third innings to lead 8-0 heading into the fourth.  Davey drove home her third run of the game in the second inning while
Kendall Grover delivered a two-run home run in the third.

UT Martin found some offensive momentum in the top of the fourth scoring five runs. The Skyhawks strung together four straight hits with one out with Kiersten Nixon and Avery Blume delivering RBI singles.

Following two more RBI singles by the Skyhawks,
McKenzie Oslanzi entered in relief for the Panthers with bases loaded and one out. Alli Robinson had a sacrifice fly to plate the fifth UTM run before the inning ended on an infield pop-up.

Oslanzi pitched 3.2 innings of hitless relief not allowing a Skyhawks runner to reach base as she improved to 11-1 on the season.

EIU responded with three runs in the bottom of the fourth,
Rachel Kaufman with a two-run single to right providing the big hit of the inning. Kaufman was 2-for-3, one of four Panthers with two hits.Â

She was joined by Grover, Davey and Cerveny all with two hits.

Katie Dreiling took the loss for UTM falling to 5-3. Kaci Fuller and Anna Hazlewood both had two hits to lead the Skyhawks.
EIU improved to 17-8 overall, 5-1 in the OVC. UTM is now 14-12 overall, 2-4 in the OVC.
