After both goalkeepers were able to turn away several good scoring chances by each team, Purdue Fort Wayne finally broke though in the final 11 minutes to pick up a 1-0 win over Eastern Illinois on Sunday afternoon at Lakeside Field.

The goal came in the 79th minute as Hailey Hoskins knocked home a cross from Kailey Hansen for the Mastodons (2-1-1) goal.

Both teams had three shots on goal in the opening half with the Panthers finishing with eight total shots on goal of their 14 total shots.Â
Carys Grieve led EIU with two shots on goal.
