For the second time this season Eastern Illinois goalkeeper
Ashlyn Hoover has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week winning award on Tuesday (Sept. 17).

Hoover posted her third shutout of the season as the Panthers closed out non-conference play with a 0-0 draw against Indiana State. Hoover made six saves in the match including one in the final 40 seconds as she punched a shot up over the cross bar. EIU cleared the ensuing corner kick and was on a breakaway towards ISU's goal when time expired.

Hoover currently ranks fourth in the OVC with a 1.44 goals against average while her 34 saves this season rank her fifth in the league.

EIU will open OVC play on Sunday at Morehead State after EIU posted a 2-4-3 record in non-conference play. Â
