Eastern Illinois women's soccer opened Ohio Valley Conference play on the road on Sunday dropping the league opener at Morehead State, 5-1.
 
The Eagles (4-3-3, 1-0 OVC) scored two goals in the opening half with Kennedy Baquero scoring in the ninth minute.
 
Hedda Ornberg tacked on the second MSU goal in the 38th minute in what would be the first of her three goals.
 
Ornberg scored again in the 55th minute before EIU was able to crack the scoring column with a goal by Abby Reinl in the 59th minute.
 
MSU had two goals in the final eight minutes with Hanna Burke and Ornberg both scoring.
 
EIU finished with four shots on goal.  Reinl had two with Avery Richardson and Ella Onstott adding one shot on goal each for the Panthers (2-5-3, 0-1 OVC).
