Eastern Illinois women's tennis picked up its second win of the season as the Panthers won four singles matches to claim a 4-3 win at IU Indianapolis on Friday afternoon.
Aleyla Wooten and
Michelle Kostadinova picked up their third win at No. 1 doubles winning 7-5 before IU Indy captured the overall doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
In singles play Wooten and
Charleigh Fay picked up singles wins in two sets to give the Panthers two early points. Wooten won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Fay won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
The Panthers picked up big wins at No. 2 and No. 5 singles in three sets to capture the overall match
Ornella Lomenzo won at No. 2 singles 1-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Luisa Renovales Salazar won at No. 5 singles with a 7-6 (7-5), 1-6, 6-4 win.
The Panthers return to action on Sunday at Lipscomb.
