After a dominating week against Western Illinois and SEMO, the Panthers volleyball team was rewarded with three OVC Player of the Week honors. 

 

Emma Schroeder was named OVC Defensive Player of the Week for her dominating performance this past week. The senior middle blocker from Rockton, Ill., stuffed the stat sheet. In 12 sets played, Schroeder recorded 18 blocks and 3 digs. In addition, she totaled 9 blocks in a Friday night victory against SEMO. 

 

Catalina Rochaix earned OVC Setter of the Week for the second time this season. This past week she surpassed the 3,000 career assists milestone against Western Illinois. The senior from Cordoba, Argentina, totaled 153 assists, 41 digs, 11 blocks, and 5 kills in 12 sets played. Rochaix continues to lead the team and the OVC in assists per set. 

 

Destiny Walker was awarded the OVC Offensive Player of the Week after continuing her excellence on the offensive side. The sophomore from Rio Grande, Puerto Rico, tallied 60 kills (5 per set), 6 blocks, and 64 points in three matches. Walker continues to lead the team in kills with 251. 

 

Schroeder, Rochaix, and Walker will be back in action tomorrow at home against Western Illinois.
