Eastern Illinois remained undefeated in the Ohio Valley Conference, but the Panthers streak of consecutive shutouts came to an end with a 1-1 draw against Southern Indiana on Thursday afternoon at Lakeside Field.

Both teams were able to find the net in the second half as EIU moved to 7-4-3 overall, 4-0-1 in the OVC. USI moved to 5-5-4 on the year, 2-0-3 in the OVC.

USI keeper Anna Markland finished with two saves while EIU keeper
Ella Kratochvil made one.  EIU had its streak of six consecutive shutouts come to an end during the match, the total was tied for the second most in OVC history.

EIU scored first in the contest with
Alex Tetteh scoring her seventh goal of the season knocking home a loose ball in the middle of scrum in front of the USI net just four minutes into the second half.

USI countered in the 55th minute as Peyton Murphy directed a pass from Emerson Grafton into the net from the right corner of the goal box.Â

Murphy had three of the Screaming Eagles eight shots in the match.  EIU was balanced with six total shots.Â

Amanda Pankiewicz had the Panthers shots on goal.
