The Panthers wrapped up their weekend at the John Gartland Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana. Both the women and men recorded new personal bests. Eastern Illinois men's track and field placed third in the meet with 61 points, while the women's team placed fourth with 51 points.
Men's Track:
Shawn Lacy and David Tuala each set a personal record in the men's 60m finals. Lacy placed 4th with a time of 7.02. Tuala followed closely, finishing 5th with a time of 7.06.

Tyler Miller also earned a new personal best, placing 5th in the men's 400m with a time of 51.15.
Maliek Bush set a new facility and meet record in the Men's Hept 60m with a 7.01 mark. Bush also earned gold in the men's heptathlon long jump, with a winning result of 6.86m. Bush completed his night, placing second in the men's heptathlon at 1.89m.
Enoch Appiah-Kubi set a personal record in the men's triple jump with a 14.47 mark.Â
Women's Track:Â
In the women's 60m finals, Abby Venhaus placed third and set a new personal record with a final time of 7.67, ranking 8th in EIU history. Venhaus also placed third in the women's long jump with a 5.60m mark.Â
Analena Peterson had an impressive freshman debut, earning gold in the women's 200m with a winning time of 25.33. In the same event, Annabelle Coudron rounded out the top five with a finishing time of 26.10.
Layla Bonilla finished in a three-way tie for third place in the women's high jump. Bonilla jumped 1.60m.
Day Two:Â
Men's Track:
Maliek Bush and Dagen Geier went three and four in the men's heptathlon 60m H, with a time of 8.67. Geier and Zac Stout tied for second place in the men's heptathlon pole vault with a score of 4.30m. Stout earned gold in the men's heptathlon 1000m with a time of 2:56.01. Â
Women's Track:Â
Angela Dobbins placed third in the women's pentathlon shot put with a throw of 10.43m. Dobbins also placed third in the women's pentathlon high jump with a jump of 1.60m.
