Eastern Illinois hosts East-West University on Monday afternoon as the Panthers play their final game prior to the Holiday Break.  The Panthers improved to 3-8 overall, 1-1 in the OVC with Thursday night's overtime win over SIUE.   East-West lost earlier this week at Northern Illinois and enters at 3-6 overall.  

FRUSTER CONTINUES TO SCORE
Zion Fruster continued his hot scoring streak to open the season as he poured in 23 points off the bench against SIUE.  It was Fruster's third 20-point game this season.  In his second year as a transfer from Virginia Wise, Fruster is averaging 16.6 points per game this season which ranks fourth in the OVC.   He is closing in on the 1,000 point mark for his collegiate career entering the East-West game with 980 career points. 

WHITE PERFECT FROM 3
Junior guard Meechie White had a near perfect night shooting the ball in Thursday's win over SIUE.  White was 6-of-6 from the floor and 4-of-4 from 3-point range.  His lone blemish was at the free throw line going 5-of-6.  He finished with 21 points added six rebounds, two assists and two steals. 

WORKING OVERTIME
Eastern Illinois played its first overtime game this season with a 76-72 win over SIUE in Thursday's OVC contest.   The Panthers were 5-of-5 from the field in the extra session finishing with a 13-9 scoring margin in the final five minutes.  It was the 118th all-time overtime game for EIU with the Panthers now 59-59 in overtime games.  It was EIU's second consecutive overtime win.   

SERIES HISTORY
This will be the first meeting between Eastern Illinois and East-West University.  The program, based in Chicago, is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
