2025 EIU Fall Team GPA's

CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom as Panther student-athletes posted another successful semester finishing with a 3.35 grade point average for the 2025 fall semester.  It marked the third consecutive semester that EIU student-athletes have posted a 3.3 or higher GPA
 
A total of eight teams posted a team GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.  Softball had the highest team GPA for the third straight semester with a 3.81 fall GPA.   Men's cross country posted the highest men's team GPA at 3.57

A total of 104 student-athletes posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall term with 75 percent of the department student-athletes finishing with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Additional team's with a GPA over 3.50 for the semester included women's cross country (3.69), women's soccer (3.68), volleyball (3.67), beach volleyball (3.65), women's swimming (3.64) and women's golf (3.63).
 
Men's basketball was right at 3.00 for the semester while football posted a team GPA of 2.91. 
 
Eastern Illinois basketball returns to action this week ringing in the New Year with Ohio Valley Conference games on Thursday at Southeast Missouri and Saturday at UT Martin.
