Eastern Illinois wraps up its long early season road trip this Sunday when the Panthers play their eighth straight game away from Groniger Arena traveling to Illinois State. EIU played in the Louisville MTE Classic over Thanksgiving picking up their first win of the year against Bellarmine while suffering losses to No. 23 Louisville and East Tennessee. EIU enters the game at 1-7 on the season. Following the game at ISU, EIU will return home for the first time in 38 days hosting North Dakota State on Thursday. Illinois State enters the game at 4-5 overall after a Missouri Valley Conference opening loss at Northern Iowa this week.

Eastern Illinois had its best 3-point shooting night of the season in the win over Bellarmine as the Panthers knocked down 11-of-30 (36.7 percent) from 3-point range. It was the most 3-pointers made by an EIU team in two years with the last game EIU knocked down double digit 3-pointers coming on Nov. 28, 2023 at New Mexico when EIU was 12-of-37. For the season EIU is averaging six made 3-pointers per game which ranks sixth in the OVC. The Panthers are shooting 28.7 percent for the season from long range which places them ninth in the conference. EIU opponents are shooting 33.5 percent from 3-point range with 7.3 made per game.
LEWIS DOUBLE FIGURE STREAK

Tiny Lewis scored in double figures in all three games of the Louisville MTE Classic extending her streak of consecutive double figure scoring games to four straight. Over those four games Lewis is averaging 12.5 points per game shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 1.000 percent from the free throw line (8-of-8). She has been consistent in those four games with a high of 14 points against East Tennessee. Lewis is in her third year in the EIU program racking up 21 career double figure scoring games with a 7.5 points per game career average.
STOLLER SECOND 20-POINT GAME

Ava Stoller posted her second career 20-point game during the Panthers win over Bellarmine as she has scored in double figures in five of EIU's first eight contests. Stoller opened the year with three straight double figure games including a career high 25 at Purdue. The 21 points at Bellarmine was her fifth double figure game this year and 24th of her college career (19 at SIUE). Stoller got to the free throw line 11 times in the game at Bellarmine as she is shooting 88.9 percent from the stripe (32-of-36) with her 36 attempts the fifth most in the OVC this season.
