Eastern Illinois struggled to get its offense going on Tuesday night at SIUE as the Panthers had their three-game win streak snapped with a 66-41 road loss.

The Panthers trailed 22-21 at the half but were held to 26 percent shooting in the second half and 27 percent for the game.

SIUE used an 18-2 run to break open the game in the second half with a pair of 3-pointers by Desmond Polk and two inside baskets by Myles Thompson.

EIU was led by Artese Stapleton with 11 points.  Obadiah Curtis added ten off the bench.

SIUE shot 55 percent in the second half with Thompson leading four SIUE players in double figures with 15 points and 11 rebounds.  Ring Malith also had a double-double with ten points, 14 rebounds.

EIU falls to 8-16 overall, 4-9 in the OVC.  SIUE improved to 15-8 overall, 9-4 in the OVC.
