Eastern Illinois student-athletes held their annual Jock-N-Roll talent competition on Wednesday night at the EIU MLK Union.

The event is led by EIU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and has been used as a way to raise funds to help send a veteran with EIU connections to the OVC Basketball Tournament as part of the conference's Hoops for Heroes program.

This year's veteran selection by EIU's SAAC is Dr. Mark Kattenbraker who is an EIU alumnus and currently serves the department chair for Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation at Eastern Illinois.

The event raised just over $1,500 dollars with performances by student-athletes from most of EIU's 21 intercollegiate sports.

The overall winner for the evening was women's soccer with women's basketball placing second and baseball third.

The 2025 OVC Tournament will take place in Evansville, Indiana from March 5-8.
