GAME 23
Eastern Illinois snapped its two-game slide as the Panthers picked up a 67-61 win in overtime at SIUE on Tuesday night.  The Panthers remain in a first place tie with Tennessee Tech and Lindenwood after Thursday night's games and will play at Tennessee Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers improved to 14-8 overall, 11-2 in the OVC. EIU will meet a Tennessee Tech team this weekend that is playing some of the best basketball in the conference having won nine straight games after beating SIUE on Thursday night.  TTU is currently 17-5 overall, 11-2 in the OVC.
MCGLONE KEEPS CLIMB UP EIU CHARTS
Macy McGlone scored 19 points on Tuesday at SIUE just missing her 28th career 20-point scoring game during her three seasons at EIU. She is currently 14th on the EIU career scoring list with 1,357 career points. McGlone needs 77 more points to move into the EIU career Top 10 where she would catch Linda Ellsworth (1977-81 / 1,434 pts). McGlone passed Ellsworth on another EIU chart on Tuesday as her 15 rebounds at SIUE moved her past Ellsworth into third in career rebounds with 844 rebounds. The senior sits in third all-time with 147 blocks adding two more to her career total at SIUE giving her 13 straight games with at least one blocked shot.  She already owns EIU's single season (26) and career records for doubles-doubles (42) ranking 8th in the NCAA this season with 12 double-doubles. Â
OVERTIME WINNER FOR EIU
Eastern Illinois played its first overtime game of the season on Tuesday picking up a 67-61 win at SIUE.Â
Kiyley Flowers hit a big 3-pointer to give EIU the lead in overtime as she scored six of the Panthers 12 points in the overtime session. Flowers and
Macy McGlone both sank two free throws in the final minute to ice the win. It was EIU's first overtime game since their four-overtime thriller last February at Morehead State. It marked the 48th overtime game in the Panthers NCAA Division I history with EIU holding a 32-16 record in those contests. EIU improved to 21-7 all-time in overtime games in OVC play and 9-6 in road overtime games. It was the fifth overtime game played in the OVC this season across the 11 OVC schools with three of them in conference play.
