Eastern Illinois men's tennis picked up a pair of wins on Saturday as the Panthers beat Illinois Springfield and Lewis University in a pair of matches played in Springfield.
 
EIU beat UIS 7-0 and then followed with a 7-0 win over Lewis.
 
EIU won all three doubles matches in the match by scores of 6-3.  
Pieke Bouman and 
Michael Schut clinched the point at No. 3 doubles.
 
The Panthers would then proceed to win all singles matches in two sets.  
Duarte Trocado clinched the match for EIU with his win at No. 6 singles.  Trocado beat Jorge Roman 6-2, 6-2.
 
EIU secured its first two singles points with wins by 
Alex Aldaz at No. 2 singles and 
Ludolph Wiggett at No. 3 singles.
 
In the match against Lewis, EIU again took the doubles point winning at No. 1 doubles 6-4 and No. 2 doubles 6-2.  The third match was handed to the Panthers by default.
 
EIU picked up its second point at default at No. 6 singles before securing the final two points at No. 5 singles and No. 3 singles.
 
Tyler Carlin won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 singles over Grant Miller.  
Zach White won 6-1, 7-5 at No. 3 singles over Sarvar Azamatov.
 
EIU is now 4-13 on the season.Â
