MARTIN, Tenn. – The Eastern Illinois beach volleyball team (0-2, 0-2 OVC) opened up the 2025 campaign with a pair of OVC matches in Martin on Friday, with the Panthers falling 0-5 against Morehead State and UT Martin.

Against the Eagles, Tori Mohesky and Sylvia Hasz dropped a hard-fought 1-2 decision as the No. 5 pair, with all three sets being decided by just two points.

Destiny Walker and Catalina Rochaix also pushed their matchup to three sets in the No. 2 position, but came up just short with a 13-15 loss in the final frame.

The Panthers lost all five matchups in straight sets against the Skyhawks.

Eastern will wrap up their first weekend of play with two more OVC matches on Saturday. The Panthers will take on Chattanooga at 8 a.m. before battling with Tennessee Tech at 12 p.m.
