CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois Track and Field's Enoch Appiah-Kubi was named the Ohio Valley Conference Male Freshman of the Week after his performance at the Normal Invite last weekend.

This marks back to back weeks that Appiah-Kubi has received a nomination, while being the first time he has been selected for an OVC award. Appiah-Kubi competed in the triple-jump on Saturday in Normal, posting a distance of 14.40m to grab the fifth place spot out of eight participants.

Appiah-Kubi currently sits in fourth place in the OVC for the triple jump as he looks to add onto his inaugural outdoor season in Charleston.
